DSB Byen An exhibition

VESS, Copenhagen 10.03 - 20.03 2016, part of CAFx (Copenhagen Architecture Festival)

The exhibition takes it's starting point in the book DSB Byen (The DSB Village), published by Ransby Editions in 2015 and is homage to the repair and maintenance facilities of the Danish National Train Service (DSB) located in southwestern Copenhagen. Built in 1909, the area assumed a vital role in supporting Denmark’s economic growth during the 20th century. It has since become a sleepy industrial oasis, where the remaining railway workers are joined by unwelcome visitors, who sneak through the fences when no one is looking.

The exhibition consists of photographs by Rasmus Folehave Hansen, who has spent several years documenting the area, as well as new works from graphic designers Martin Ransby and Anders Gerning.
